Besides the use of a press who has got or have a picture of a special VW tool required for the fitting of a lower ball joint . any help would be greatly appreciated . thank you in advance .

We have the original boards still in ours, they appear to have a wood frame about 30mm deep and then a sheet of hardboard on both sides,in the middle I think is a honeycomb to space them apart.
