Poor starting in the damp/after rainfall when cold
weird one this, the van has been great over the last year apart from struggling to start after rain when staring from cold. It doesn't matter whether it starts on lpg or petrol, from cold, it splutters and dies if its been raining. Once it's warm, it will start anytime! over the last year, i've done...

Re: Handling
my van runs the avo 70mm springs and the bilstein b4 shocks - it handles as well as a van could!
however, maybe your steering rack bushes are monkeyed - if it jolts at potholes

cab door handle return spring
mine has snapped, which means opening the door is like entering the crystal maze. thats great the day after i put it up for sale......... I can see that the spring would hold the catch on the lock, enough that the rod attached to the inner door handle wouldn't fall off like it does at the mo....

Oil on exhaust - how to stop it smoking
Hi all, after a debacle changing the oil on the van over the weekend (changed filter, didn't realise the rubber seal from original filter was left in place - new filter didn't seat properly) i've had nice new Fuchs oil sprayed all over the engine bay (rust preventative?) but worst of all on the exha...

Re: insurance
agree with all above - more than business insurance who insure my panel van only asked whether i had a certificate, as i would need to produce it in the event of a claim.

Re: how much to lower
i'm in the same position, i use my panel as a daily and as a van - lugging reasonably lightweight stuff about..
want it to look good so i wanted the 60mm look, but settled for a 70mm kit as i wanted avo springs. not fitted yet but i reckon it should be sweet

Wind noise
ok, i know it's a brick but the road and wind noise in my panel van got a bit too much to bare all the way from Derby to Peterborough at the weekend. i've always planned to line the inside and i'm slowly doing it, i've heard that caravelles had some wind noise reducing seals? i've had one off alfieb...

oddly enough the bald guy at derby gsf is really helpful too, although it does take him 3 attempts at ordering anything (and 3 trips for me) to find the right part. frankly i think he fancies me...
