Thats what I thought initially, but when I look up the oil sump/oil pan, I get images that are nothing like what I’m looking at

Thank you for the link! I’d still like to know what that component of the engine is which the oil drain plug and oil pressure check valve are isntalled knto? The metal part with the parallel lines that look similar to a radiator.

Hi Everyone, Could someone help me in making sure I’m correctly identifying this bolt? In the attached image, it is halfway down the picture, right hand side of the picture, partially cut off. I believe it is the oil drain plug. Second question: what is it screwed into? How easy is it to remove the ...
