Re: Doka - work manuals/guides
I think there's a lot of similarities. But when I looked through there wasn't anything on the Doka Rear seat/doors. The electrics section didn't show the battery in the engine bay, so I imagine a few of the junction boxes and fuse locations my differ. I'm not that worried but wondered if there was a...

Doka - work manuals/guides
I've just received through the post the Bentley manual (I see why the postage was high now!) but after a quick glance through, it doesn't seem to cover the Doka. Are there other manuals or guides that cover the commercial vehicles? Most of the information is still relevant but there's bound to be a ...

Re: Big Blue Van - Full Restoration
Great thread, the detailed pictures are really useful for me to pick a few this up from, but I doubt I can keep my build area that clean however!
I like the use of the wooden hammer formers for getting the panel returns.

Re: Doka seats
Ok, will try Facebook in a few of the groups for original seats. I didn't know if anyone on here had fitted alternatives in the rear.

Doka seats
I'm nowhere near ready to put seats into the van yet but thinking ahead to when I do (next year possibly/hopefully), as finding the right seats might take some time. What seats have you fitted to the rear of a Doka. My van was a project when I brought it and didn't have a seat, or the base in the re...

Re: Welding and panel working tools
I've held off from YouTube just yet as I will end up in saving lots of videos for making random stuff! But I did look, and it's a neat technique for makeing sure the panels line up. Yes, I've seen shrinker stretchers and I know I've got some curved flanges to make, are the Metz ones any good or are ...

Re: Welding and panel working tools
Thanks for the feedback!
Yes I be spending a fair bit of time practicing the joins with the welder. I'll have a look at the Isopon primer.
I was debating on the joggler as I've seen a few pneumatic ones which would save my arms.
I'll keep raiding Lidl/Aldi middle Ilse for stock of the step drills!

Welding and panel working tools
Hello, I've been lurking on the forum for a while but first time posting. I've recently brought a Doka to restore and it needs a lot of welding, of which I was aware of before buying. I have done a fair bit of agricultural welding with an old oil filled arc welder (gates, trailers, shed frames, impl...
