Re: Rear wiper reservoir

Mocki wrote: 11 Oct 2020, 11:34 No, separate tank, in the rear o/s quarter panel , filler in the internal panel

Thanks for replying Steve,

That's what I'd read, but I can't see anything anywhere.

I'll post some photographs when I go out to the van.

Hazard lights only work on one side

Hi All,

Our hazard lights, from the outside, just look like we're indicating left.

The right indicators work fine as indicators, but don't come on with the hazard light switch.

Is there any way of fixing this?

Thanks,
Damian

Van security

Hi all,

What sort of wheel and/or pedal locks (or anything else) do you recommend for a T25?

Thanks,
Damian

Rear wiper reservoir

Hi All,

Does the rear wiper screen wash have a separate reservoir, or does it use the same as the front (at the passenger feet area).

Thanks.

Internal air blower/fan

Hi all, The whole control panel, for our air flow, seems to do nothing. I also don't know exactly how it's supposed to work, but can assume that the rotating dial should increase the speed of some sort of fan. Is there a fuse or two that I should check for this. It would be nice if it was just a fus...

Re: Coolant expansion tank completely empty.

Yes, we had an eventful first trip. :-) The garage We got the van back on Tuesday. I couldn't go, so my wife picked it up and had the subsequent conversation with them. I was disappointed to see that the coolant level in the engine bay (not the one behind the licence plate) was a couple of inches be...

R0B wrote: 05 Oct 2020, 17:30 That is no doubt how you lost your coolant. But you do not need that clip on there.
But when the clip wasn't there, the pipe came off.

Maybe the clip is just an extra layer of insurance, but I don't want it popping off again. :-)

Re: Coolant expansion tank completely empty.

The garage added that clip after one of our first journeys, where I found that the pipe was not connected to the dalek cap.

I have no idea how long it had been disconnected, but I assume that's how I lost all of the coolant.

I've not got the van back yet, but they found a leak in the Injector Pipe.

I have no idea what the injector pipe is. Will that be responsible for the coolant level going down, or is it a completely different system?

Thanks,
Damian

Re: Coolant expansion tank completely empty.

Oil cap looks fine, I would imagine that if oil and coolant were mixing due to a head gasket problem there would be a milky substance in the cap, I have seen this on other vehicles and can only guess that the same symptom applies to T25s. Thanks for the positive sign Tony. What are other peoples th...

Re: Coolant expansion tank completely empty.

Latest update: Yesterday, I replaced the dalec cap with the new one. As I took the old cap off, there was no air release sound this time. Both tanks had gone down an inch or so. I bled the system, out of the radiator, using the method with a one way pump valve (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eug3j...

Re: Coolant expansion tank completely empty.

Does anyone know anyone around Somerset who knows their stuff?

I'm suddenly feeling nervous about taking the van to my usual garage.

And no mechanic is going to like to be told how to suck eggs by some guy who's found some information out online. :-)

Re: Coolant expansion tank completely empty.

It's a diesel isn't it, can you post exactly what engine it is, even better put it in your signature and update your profile with rough location. It's a fairly standard VW diesel engine, it should not be hard to find someone who knows about those, though they may not be used to going to the back of...

No problem. I'll check that when we get the van back from the habitation check place. Took it in this morning due to smelling gas when the fridge is on. They redid the piping a couple of weeks ago.
