Thanks for that Seesaw - so while attempting to trace the wires from fuse to switch I found there are two wires (red and red/ white) on the back of the switch (terminal 30 I think) - disconnecting the thinner red one (ie the one not coming from the fuse) has fixed it and the hazards now work as norm...

Hazard lights blow fuses

Hi all - I've reached head scratching time; 1983 1.6d van, indicators all work but no hazards - checked the fuse which had blown but when I replace it it blows straight away. I now have the hazard switch disconnected and the fuse still blows. I've discounted the relay as the indicators all work fine...
