Rust advice sought
I have quite a badly rusting gutter on my 85 Westfalia Hitop, which I have posted about before. So much going on in life, getting this into a bodyshop to fix is going to take some time. Can anyone give me any advice on what to do in the meantime? https://i.imgur.com/G5o67Sc.jpg Should I remove th...

Re: Rusty gutter on 1985 Club Joker HiTop
Now I am scared to even look further...
Ok - will have to bite the bullet at some point, as its only going to get worse...
I'll have to figure out the scope of the problem, but I am not a welder - I need to find someone who can do this for me. Any recommendations in the North of England?

Rusty gutter on 1985 Club Joker HiTop
Over the winter, the beloved Club Joker has developed nasty rust in the gutter over the passenger side door - the corner at the front has broken away. I need to get this fixed - does anyone have any recommendations for someone in the North West/Cumbria that can help? Is it possible to fix this witho...

Re: tailgate wont shut properly
Did you manage to fix this? Facing the same problem myself which has gradually worsened over the last six months. All screws on the latch and hinges are super tight (I can't budge them with the tools I have without damaging the screw heards) and there is no movement on anything. To get the lock to e...

Re: Eberspacher wont turn off
I'm not exactly sure on the 1981, but on the 1985 the fuses for fridge and eberspacher are together in a small box behind the drivers seat under the seatbelt. Pull one fuse and if the eberspacher turns off that is it. If it stays on put fuse back (for the fridge) and pull the other.

Re: Best Engine to Meet Euro 4 or 6 Emissions? ULEZ issue
If it is possible to register my 1985 Westfalia for automatic ULEZ payment, I'll do so to avoid fines and easily see how much it is costing per year. I had hoped that TfL would have a discount scheme for the expanded zone of similar duration to the central zone. Unfortunately they have announced oth...

Re: T25 Club Joker 1988 - fuse and/or 12v supply to sink tap?
Bit late, but maybe helpful.
Under the front seatbelt on the left hand side there is a small box with two fuses - they may be torpedo style fuses. You probably blew one of these. Quite obvious if you have. Simple replacement if you can find the fuses. 16amp (red) should do the trick.

Re: Leisure battery drain ?
My leisure battery was draining out and it turned out the contacts for the water pump had got pushed together resulting in the pump operating the whole time (but since the tap valve was off, water wasn't flowing). I noticed on a quiet day when I could hear the hum of the pump - took me a while to tr...

Re: Westfalia Club Joker 1985 leisure fuses
Here's the diagram for the B2L I have, which is slightly different one from the one you posted for (it has the heating coil). I've confirmed this by checking the part number.
I now have 25A and 16A fuses, so can test out and will report back what I find.

Re: Westfalia Club Joker 1985 leisure fuses
Brilliant - I have the B2L. Tracked down the wiring diagram for that (I think in the same manual you found the D2L diagram) - for item 14 it just says Main fuse, then no rating is shown. Amazing. Of course, the Club Joker wiring diagram says 25A for both D2L and B2L. I think I'll start with a 16A fu...

Re: Westfalia Club Joker 1985 leisure fuses
Here's a picture of the wiring diagram I have for the Club Joker, with the fuses shown highlighted in red and the corresponding translated key. Screenshot 2019-03-31 at 8.59.56 pm.jpg E1 goes to the heater (D1 which is the original Eberspacher running from the petrol tank). But you definitely think ...

Re: Westfalia Club Joker 1985 leisure fuses
Finally fitted the replacement fuse box, with some 2.5mm earth wire connecting the two inputs at the bottom. Power is flowing through the heater and fridge now, but I'm not convinced a white (8amp) fuse for the fridge and a red fuse (16 amp) for the heater is right. The wiring diagram shows 25amp (b...

Yeah - they don't stay still. Definitely would be better with blades. And the correct rated fuses, which I now have.

Re: Westfalia Club Joker 1985 leisure fuses
I found a replacement that used the original style fuses. That is when I discovered that the fuse box is not standard - the input from the battery connects to one fuse input, which is connected to the other fuse input by a metal strip in the fuse holder. The fuse holder I found assumed separate inpu...

Westfalia Club Joker 1985 leisure fuses
The fridge, heater, water pump and control panel lights in our Westy have been rather unreliable in the few years we've had it. At some point in its history, I think the wrong fuses were fitted in the fuse box behind the drivers seat, and the box melted resulting in the fuses being unstable. I'm loo...
