I'm having a cold start problem on my 1981 Air cooled bus, it has a carb set up, any ideas what it could be before a garage tries to charge me millions haha!

My 1981 Aircooled brakes keep failing. One min i have brakes, the next my foot can be flat to the floor with no brakes.
