Re: Hazard lights not operating correctly

So I took the switch apart (apparently from c1985 onwards the switch was changed, so it may be different for earlier models). I noticed that one of the springs was missing for one of them. I should have photos but it's not a difficult job. Cleaned off the the grease and found a spare spring from my ...

Hazard lights not operating correctly

Hi All, My issue is that, in order to activate the hazards on my van, you switch the hazard switch on, and then indicate right, it'll only flash on the right otherwise. This method has worked every time I've needed them, which admittedly does seem to be rather often... It never occurred to me until ...

Re: Overheating + brown foam in coolant tank

Hi folks, Just thought I would close this thread out with a happy ending. Due to various reasons I never got working on the job fully till April/May, but better late than never I suppose. Once I got everything apart, all the internal components all looked good, so I went for a new set of bottom and ...

Re: Overheating + brown foam in coolant tank

Unsure about the last coolant change, previous owner got it serviced at an old school type mechanic who knew his way around these engines (apparently), so hopefully correct change intervals/type was used. Having said that, I've been suspecting that he has not, and the studs have corroded and the hea...

Overheating + brown foam in coolant tank

Afternoon all, long term stalker but first post so here's my problem, I'm hoping someone could maybe share a similar experience, and maybe shed some light on what the issue is... After putting our 1986 1.9 DG through its paces earlier this year to make the ferry back to the UK, began overheating eve...
