Well I've figured out the intermittent sticky choke. Stripped the carb and found a little plastic piece connected to the choke air flap was broken, hence the flap never closing and the broken platic part and the arm operating it kept jamming intermittently. Stick it all back on tomorrow, all cleaned...

I'm also a bit baffled by the carb...With the air inlet removed from the top of the carb, when you open the throttle, what I'm assuming is the choke mechanism sticks and it'll rev high but you can flick it off with your finger and obviously the revs drop, is this how it's meant to be? Thing is this ...

Thanks for the tips all. tonytech, I didn't do anything with the strobe as it didn't work, think it was just coincidence, but will try new leads etc. I believe it's the DG engine. DoubleOSeven, I thought you can't adjust hyrauliuc tappets? When it's running rough (all the time) it sounds very tappet...

Hi all, just joined tonight! Today (as with most sundays for the last month or so) I tried to get my T25 to run smoothly... It starts ok (now I've learned what it likes) but will not drive as it doesn't have the power to move! It revs ok, albeit a tiny bit spluttery, but put it in gear and try to dr...
