Hi itchy feet its a 1982 Aircooled petrol engine. It starts ok but then cuts out when it slows down, this gets worse and worse until it won't restart. It's a constant problem now. I''ve had the van 19 years and had a similar problem a few years ago. Annoyingly I can't remember what the fix was a. Sm...

Thanks for replying it needs diagnosing! I posted in the mechanical thread,it sounds like a similar problem to floras..
..it cuts out when hot and won't idle. After many restarts it eventually won't start at all.

Hi Flora, I have what sounds like a very similar problem. Though mine is 1982 Aircooled. Sorry it's not very helpful! but would be keen to know the answer. Sarah
