Yes, I believe it is a DG and it is def. a pierburg carb. My Hubby says he's sure shes not a 4x4 as he's looked underneath and there is no front wheel drive system. The RAC guy was quite sure so I dont know what to think.
Thanks for the info. Will check out the VW heritage website if they have one.

She needs a new carb, or the current one refurbished. Shes still got the original one in there. Im t...

Local mechanic info needed please....
Mornin, My poor old Wedgie went bang on the way home from the pet shop yesterday. Steam was pouring out of the rear oassenger side vent and wheel arch. I was rescued by a nice RAC man called Andrew, who filled her up with water and escorted me safely home. He thinks it is hopefully just a head gaske...

how to remove a laserline immobiliser
Hi guys, been a while since I've been on here.
Just wondering if anyone knows how to go about removing a 'laserline' immobiliser? I think it is possibly causing starting problems and it has never worked anyway.
Thanks

Re: Gear linkage
Hey Eloise, Got Wedgie back from the VW garage today. Haven't driven her myself yet as Hubby picked her up. He said the gears are perfect now. :ok The 1st gear issue was apparently caused by general wear and tear. Not sure exactly what bits had to be replaced but I will find out and post up when Mat...

Re: unwanted water feature in my van when it rains!
Thanks for all your advice guys. It's ok. I've known this guy for a good while and I know i can def. trust him to do a good job.He does some mechanics but its a coachbuilder garage and they specialise in body repairs. He was originally reccommended to me by a good friend who always takes her car to h...

Re: servo hose question
Just Kampers replied to my email. They have apologised and will cover the cost of return postage and give me a refund if I want to return it. I did suggest they investigate this product, as I suspect they will get a load more complaints from disgruntled T25 owners if they continue to state that it i...

Re: unwanted water feature in my van when it rains!
Thanks for the tips everyone. There doesn't appear to be any rust or holes around the wipers or washer jets, just that one around the windscreen seal. She's going to have the gear problem looked at next Friday, then will be going into another garage the following week to have her bodywork sorted out...

Thanks for all your comments guys.
I will try the local VW place I've just found near me. Didn't know it existed before. Hopefully they will have some, or will point me in the right direction if they don't.

Re: servo hose question
The new hose came from Just Kampers, along with a few other parts I ordered at the time. It was on their website as a servo hose under the T25 parts section, so I trusted it to be a proper approved part that should fit properly. Here's the link for the part on the JK website & note the review (w...

Re: servo hose question
Thanks for your input guys. I know it's definitely different from the original braided hose that came off the van, but it was meant to be a proper, more modern replacement that lasts ages. I will ring JK on Monday and ask them why they are selling this, as it clearly isn't any good. :? Think we will...

servo hose question
Apologies if this is a daft question, but I ordered a servo hose from JK. There is a bit of clear pipe on there at the mo, which was put on purely as a temporary measure to replace the original rotten one that was split and full of holes. Hubby went to put the new hose on today and it's much chunkie...

Re: unwanted water feature in my van when it rains!
Piccie of the small rust patch under the windscreen rubber as promised. It's very small, could it really be the cause of the puddle on the mat inside? She will be going in to the garage the week after next to get all the rusty bits sorted, so if this is the place the water is getting in, it will be ...
