Tbh I didn't have any issue with performance before it broke! Slow and steady suited me! I'm not sure I can risk buying an old 1.9 for it to break in the future...

Hi all, so mechanic has had a look... Turbo is knackered and low pressure on cylinder 2 & 3... Recommending a new engine... What do we think? Go for a recon 1.6td and slot straight in or go for a 1.9 upgrade? Thoughts and musings appreciated as always... Of any recommendations re garages to comp...

Investigation continued... Could get it to make the noise again? Could I chuff... However a clunking noise has appeared when the blower is first switched on?? Still working just fine! On it's way out? £40 to replace? Thanks for your help!

Nope... Not sure about anything! Any clue how I might identify this ? It sounds much like an electronic buzzer... But seem to be preceded by a scrap-ey type noise...
Tried again later on and it started and then stopped on its own...
