Re: oh Jeez, my new Devon van is full of surprises

Who ever did the welding on it before should have had their tools confiscated for the poor work they did. I've decided to attempt it myself...

Re: Cleaning starter motor stator and brushes

I ended up replacing the starter in the end. Made more difference than faffing around with t-cut. I think the t-cut helped a bit, but not as much as a new motor.

oh Jeez, my new Devon van is full of surprises

I keep discovering new "features" of my van. My latest discovery is the almost detachable roof! https://i.imgur.com/G7c7Cnc.jpg https://i.imgur.com/FZoTBFA.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Tftkgbg.jpg https://i.imgur.com/gHO66z6.jpg That on top of the mounting for one strut missing from the fibergl...

3d printing

Does anyone 3d print parts for their van?. I've just bought a Devon Moonraker and it has so many issues. I'm looking for stl's for Speedo repairs and other parts. Anyone else designed 3d parts for these?

Devon Moonraker Pop top repair

Hi folks. I was last on here with my brown westy. I sold it and have regretted it since. I just bought a Devon Moonraker and to say it needs a little work is an understatement. The biggest issue apart from rust and dodgy repairs is the pop top. I want to use it this year but the front has struts(sta...

Cleaning starter motor stator and brushes

Hi all,
I created a video showing some work I did on my T25 starter motor and I thought I would share it with you.

Re: Sliding door will not open

Ok, I was looking at the rod last night and it is snapped towards the rear where it passes thorugh a small hole. It has left only 1cm (the part that attaches to the rear catch). I am now on the hunt for a reasonable priced replacement. No idea what caused it to fail. I don't think I had been too rou...

Re: Sliding door will not open

Hi MetalMik8y, Thanks for stepping forward. The door is currently closed. The rod has snapped towards the rear. The remaining rod part is about an inch or less long. I gave it a tug with unsuitable tools at the time and there was no movement. Now I know that is where to be, I will try a little harde...

Sliding door will not open

I went to my van a few weeks back and found the sliding door would not open. I finally had a chance to look at it last night and this is what I found. The interior and exterior handles move freely but don't do much. The interior lock won't operate. I took off the interior panel and had some further ...

Re: locks ?

I have a full mk2 golf lock set I just sold as I didn't think it would fit. I didn't try too hard though. I'm interested to know how easy it is to alter the locks though as I have three keys for the doors, boot and sliding door on my van.

Re: Not starting..Resolved

Last night I had a friend around to pick up my battery charger for his T25. I jumped at the chance and with his help we could see it was sparking. With that he suggested some petrol in the carb and sure enough, Rusty kicked back to life. I'm pleased I did all of the work on the earths. It turns over...
