Fuel pump???
I have an issue with my fuel pump on my 1983 vw t25 water cooled 1.9 petrol. The push rod under the mechanical pump has worn and is not protruding enough to engage the pump. I can get another push rod but in the long run is it better to get an electric pump? If the latter do I need a fuel pressure r...

Do you hold the pedal down fully and then turn the key?
What I usually do is pump the pedal a couple of times, then floor it as it fires up
