Re: E5 or E10 fuel?
Thanks Steve. As you suggested the best thing is to change them all to the new compliant hoses. Am I correct in assuming that the E10 compliant hoses are the only consideration, eg. Once I’ve changed them I’m good to just run it off E10?

Re: E5 or E10 fuel?
Thanks for the reply. I did change all the fuel lines around 4/5 years ago, but I’ve no idea if the kit I bought was E10 compliant? I’ll just carry on with the E5 for now.

E5 or E10 fuel?
Apologies if this has already been discussed. I was just after some advice on what fuel to use and if anyone has ran into any problems using the E10 petrol? I’ve stuck to E5 so far, but I’m wondering if this is really necessary, particularly as it’s more expensive and potentially might not be availa...

Autosleeper Side Window Inner Window seal runner
Hi, I'm looking to replace the inner seal channel in my Autosleeper side window. It's the driver side, kitchen area, 2 piece side window. Where window slides back and forth in a channel. It's badly deteriorated and wrinkled up, impeding the operation of the window and currently growing moss! Much as...

Re: Carburettor Issues
I completely agree with what everyone says about Roger at Bromyard. My van was transformed from a juddery, un-drivable mess, to something that I'd happily drive anywhere. I only wished I'd sent the carb off earlier, rather than trying quick fixes and trying to live with it being unreliable. My carb ...

Leaky Sump plug
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help? My van has had a previous sump repair(not during my ownership), whereby the sump was re-tapped and a timesert inserted. The problem is that the hole has been drilled slightly off centre, resulting in the plug not sealing. It wasn't a problem the last ...

Re: Securing stainless hubcaps?
Any pics? Can I ask where you got the wheels powdercoated and approximate cost? I've been meaning to powdercoat my (frankly shameful) winter wheels for a couple of years now. I've seen a few companies advertising their services with and without an exchange basis. Thanks I got them done by these guy...

Re: Securing stainless hubcaps?
Thanks for the replies. They're not exactly loose to the point of falling off, just don't quite seem as tight as the previous ones. It's reassuring yours are the same Itchy, and haven't yet fell off! I didn't worry so much with the cheaper rusty ones on, I'll try a bit of gentle bending! :D Yes, the...

Securing stainless hubcaps?
I've just had my steel wheels powder coated and have splashed out on some nice new stainless steel hubcaps. They seem to clip on ok with the exception of one, which is slightly looser. I was going to put some tape on the inner lip of the cap to help tighten the fit, or maybe on the bulge in the rim ...

Re: Carb repair Bromyard VW
This was explained to me as cosmetic. I went for the repair option, it came back pretty much looking like new anyway.Sir Brixalot wrote:Reconditioning is £80 more than repair. Any ideas if it's worth paying the extra or is it just cosmetic?

Re: Carb repair Bromyard VW
Did the carb need tuning or did it run fine straightaway? We just put the carb straight back on and it ran fine. Roger did advise me that some adjustment might be needed due to differing engine tolerances to that of the test engine and my van's engine. He sent instructions on how to adjust if needed.

Re: Carb repair Bromyard VW
remind us how much? It was £255 for the repair/refurb including postage back. On return of the carb I received a comprehensive work sheet detailing the repair and what faults were detected. Which was somewhat a relief, considering I'd changed/investigated everything else before coming to the conclu...

Carb repair Bromyard VW
After much frustration with intermittent running problems with my van, I sent my carb off for repair to Roger at Bromyard Vw. After receiving the carb back and refitting, I am amazed at the difference it has made! The van starts first time, runs really smooth and has much more power! I finally feel ...
