Re: Cardboard shroud / baffle under radiator
I have another factory original cardboard baffle located directly behind the top grill (behind the grill badge) which is attached to the rear of the grill by push through lugs. It seems to reduce air going into the lower half of the top grill. Any ideas why this might be necessary?

Re: Mechanic in South West France
Thanks all for your replies and suggestions.
Parts on way from Brickwerks and found one local garage that isn't closed and isn't booked out this week.
Also big thanks to sarran1955 who has done some hunting around for me.
Fingers crossed I'll be on my way soon.
Cheers!

Mechanic in South West France
Hi all, My 84 (DF engine) clutch slave cylinder has blown a seal while on a camping trip in Mimizan, Landes, South West France. As a result I've got no clutch and I'm stuck. My problem is my breakdown recovery service can't find a local VW mechanic and want to repatriate the vehicle and us back to t...

Re: Louvre windows.
Hi everyone, I have exactly the same louvred window in my Leisuredrive conversion van. I believe they were made by Devon? Does anyone know where I could get the white seal for the upper louvre? as well as the brush seals for the side mechanisms? I've also seen the louvre glass edge seals on JK websi...

Re: Mystery alloys
Update:
Alloys purchased and fitted with 6mm spacers all-round.
Front 50mm stud conversion.
Rear 50mm rear studs.
Centre caps from Mk1 Golf.
Can't believe the improvement in handling, especially in cross-winds.
Now should I keep the centre caps black or go all 'alloy'???

Re: Mystery alloys
Would seem they are BWA...
Does anyone have any experience of these?
Offset within range. Any need for spacers?
How about their suitability weight wise?

Re: Mystery alloys
Anyone know they're suitability in terms of weight rating for a T25?
Also info on the offset would help.
Cheers

Mystery alloys
I've searched the wiki and other online forums, searched google and the usual auction sites...does anyone know what these alloys are?? The seller doesn't seem to know other than they were taken off a mid 80's Caravelle and required no spacers or longer studs to fit. They are stamped 6Jx14 H2 Perhaps...
