Re: indicators
Glad thats sorted then. I'm not a fan of the early fusebox (even though mine is). Have you also made this mod? Well worth doing on the early fusebox: "PRE-85 FUSEBOX MOD - ENSURING WIPERS WORK IF BLOWER KILLS FUSE" towards the bottom of this page: https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Coolant_and_H...

Re: indicators
Could be a few things including poor earth or bad connection somewhere but on the earlier bullet fusebox like yours, it might just be a fuse that has a hairline crack in the metal part (may not be obvious without very careful inspection). Generally the black/white green/white wires are all indicato...

Having put my dash back in and tested that every thing works (or thinking i had) I've just realised when my ignition is on i have a permanent dash light on my indicator bulb. The indicators lights don't work when indicating but my 4 ways do. Could this be a fuse problem?

Re: Flashband as sound deadening - does it really work
I've just in process of sound deadening my van. Cost £160 to do the lot... What did you use? I phoned this place up (link below) to get some advice and they recommended this product. I've not fully fitted the van as of yet only got round to doing the engine bay and cover and the passenger footwell ...

wiper nuts
Hi all Got a wiper nut that when tightens becomes loose again almost immediately but won't come off, just seems to turn and turn. I've tried pulling on the wiper stalk whilst undoing the nut but to no avail. It's been suggested by a friend that a hacksaw carefully sawing at the nut will eventually g...

My van has a leak in the passenger footwell, having read a few threads in the Wiki section I guess its coming from the windscreen? I use the van as my everyday vehicle and am due to be away working with it for the next 3 months in the Norfolk area. Can anyone tell me an estimared figure on repair co...

Re: Electrics
It seems when I replace the washer motor fuse it blows straight away and drains the charge from the bty any ideas why this is happening? If the fuse blows straight away it can't then drain the battery can it ;) Do one thing at a time. I recommend you check your battery first (leave the fuse out of ...

Re: Electrics
maybe washer switch in the stalk, pump motor or wiring to it is knakered. See if there is a small spark when you take the earth strap off the battery and touch it to the negative battery terminal breifly, then remove each fuse in turn to see what's draining the battery, start with the washer pump f...

Having returned from a week away with work I thought it wise to start the van and maybe take her out for a drive. After trying a number of times to start her she just wouldnt turn. It seemed the battery had somehow lost the charge. After charging it she did start first time however, some 4-5 hrs lat...

Re: wipers and screen wash
It's LHD, will the tank still be under the passenger side? It's always the LH corner - so driver's on a LHD. Im not fantastically mechanically minded so is it a straight fwd job? Yep, fairly simple unless the tank fasteners are rusted in place. Thanks very muchly will try and sort it tomorrow

Re: wipers and screen wash
When you say "driver's footwell" - LHD or RHD? If it's RHD, then the washer pump's under the passenger's footwell. I wonder if it's the switch that's toasted itself? The pump's easy enough to get at - you need to look under the NSF, and drop the tank out. It's LHD, will the tank still be ...
