Have decided to go down the top end rebuild track. Turns out they only made two other heads like mine, ones down the bottom of the Channel and the other ones in the VW museum.

Hi VW nuts, Just to let you know I'm new to VWs and this forum and therefore i apologise if my terminology is a bit off. I'm having a hell of a time chasing down a cylinder head for my van which i have found out being a 1980 makes tracking down the right cylinder head very very difficult as VW only ...
