Re: coolant airlock?

This has come up several times before - some replacement engines have been found to use water pumps that rotate in the opposite direction resulting in that you don't have a water flow when you use your old pump and direction of rotation. Worth checking to see. (you may just need a longer or shorter...

Re: T25 5 Speed Gearbox

you could do what we did and fit bigger tyres on the back,
we used a set of ford granada wheels with frontera 4x4 town and country tyres [big and fat]
did affect accelaration a bit but we were getting 38mpg [1.6d engine] even so 70 was its limit [flat out]
was verry good at 60 .

Re: strange clunking sound !

if it has just started , iwould have thought the joints are ok ! as worn cv joints click for ages and gradualy get worse!
it is more likely that the cv joint bolts are loose and the shaft is hanging off! :ok

cheep and nasty, but if you clean it up the best you can and get a strip of metal to cover it over.
you can just bond it to the front using bonding selant and then fill over the lot.
i would under seal inside realy well .

I presonaly use a plasma cutter but the reason he was using a hammer and chisel was because an angle grinder wont get in there due to the deformation pannel .
ps dont cut any thing off before you make shuer a replacment is availible .
