Fresh water tank leak - help please!
Hi all, rather strangley my westfalia fresh water tank has spontaneously sprung two leaks this weekend. The first is around the drain tap underneath, so I'm going to try some PTFE tape to improve the seal on the thread. However, the other is a mystery. The sympton is water leaking out from underneat...

Time for a modern sound system - any thoughts?
Hi, I'm planning on replacing the head unit with a 'Halfords special' Sony DAB, MP3, Cd player with bluetooth (about £100). I'm also going to replace the front speakers and cables. The back speakers seem ok. Halfords have quoted £180 all in (including wiring loom, aerial and fitting etc). Does anyon...

Re: Front screen washer jets mystery
Thanks for that. The jets are actually relatively new so I don't think they are the issue. I delved around in the back and had a poke about with the water tank. There's a rubber pipe connecting to the side which goes off to another small tank (orange, with blue lid) but semingly no other pipes comin...

Re: Front screen washer jets mystery
Thanks for the suggestions. They stopped working quite a while before the cold snap, so I doubt it's related to frozen pipes etc. Lots of food for thought though. Given I sometimes get a dribble through, it sounds as though it could be a blockage. I think that's the next port of call! It's a 1.9tdi ...

Front screen washer jets mystery
Hi, my front washer jets don't seem to be firing. They were fine when I parked up a few weeks ago, so not sure what the issue is. The water tank is full, the stalk initiates the motor which then hums away, but either no water or a piddly amount comes through. Bit of a mystery. Has anyone got any sug...

Rusty bumper screws - advice needed please
Hi, there's a bit of rust washing out from the 'allen key' headed screws on the big bumpers front and back. It looks like it's probably the thread. My initial reaction is to unscrew them, soak them in something (?) to remove the rust, spray prime and then screw back on. Firstly, any thoughts on this...

Rain getting in via air intake - problem?
Hi, I just changed the flat battery on my van. It is a 1.9 tdi with one air filter on the left. The battery is on the right, next to which there is a void (I asume only the air cooled vans needed both air intakes). When I took the battery out I noticed that there was quite a bit of rain water standi...

Re: Fuses!
Maybe one of the issues is that the wrong ampage fuse has been installed. Not sure how you would test for the right one!? Any ideas?

Re: Fuses!
I have the two main fuses on the B pillar, but there are also two fuses between the B pillar and the leisure battery. Sounds like some tampering has happened in past?? Interestingly, I replaced a 15 amp fuse running off the leisure battery (between that and the B pillar) and it fixed the control pan...

Re: Fuses!
Thanks for that, seems to be pretty random, but its getting to the point of being very annoying. Seems to mainly be the camping kit.

Fuses!
I seem to spend many cold evenings tracking down a blown fuse for one thing or another, usually the westy camping kit. Is it usual for fuses to blow regularly? I'm starting to think the wiring needs a full overhaul, or perhaps there is a simple solution? Any views would be appreciated.
Cheers
