Re: VW garage/mechanic recommendation Bridgend

For exhaust try Charlie at Prospeed Exhausts in Cardiff. Did a stainless steel for my van. Excellent job too.

Re: A week on Ynys Mon

Love Anglesey myself although never camped there, only day visits. Perhaps something for the weather improves one day!

Re: Connecting fuse box to Leisure battery

Following on from my initial post just another quick query. In the package that all the wiring etc came for the split charge system, there is a what looks line an in-line fuse (needs to be cut as there are no open ends!) Here are some pics. Where does it need to go? Is it between the positive clamp ...

Re: Split charge relay recommendations

The one in my van says on it...

nagares
rl/180-12
12v / 100a
30 86 85 87

I did a quick search on eby and one came up. Just searched on " nagares rl"

I may be barking up the wrong tree. Not sure if that is the type of thing you are looking for. In any case good luck.

Have a look at the "connecting fuse box to leisure battery" thread below. There is a picture of the raw components split charge.

Many thanks for that Adrian, much appreciated. LOL Re. "What software did you use to add those neat arrows and text to your pictures"? As simple as double click on photo in "my pictures", choose "extras" on top line, then "open with" and choose "paint&quo...

Connecting fuse box to Leisure battery

Hi, I had a split charge / leisure battery fitted last summer but the fella that did it never connected up the fuse box. I will not be doing it myself God forbid but can anyone tell me where the wiring for the fuse box should be connected to. The split charge was from Raw Components if I remember co...

Re: Video of our 6 week T25 tour around France

Nice video, good quality.

I'd love to just take the van and "do" parts of France. Too chicken in case I break down! Maybe one day.

Re: Temperature gauge needle and blinking light

I've been having a think about this and I remembered long ago when used to work in the motor trade that we used to sell dashboard voltage regulators for the gauges and lo and behold there some forums on here that discuss the regulator, and associated problems if it fails. Also see this link on the ...

Re: Temperature gauge needle and blinking light

I had a problem a while ago where the light would not stop flashing. Checked the coolant level, and level sensor and all was OK. I traced it eventually to the printed circuit board behind the dashboard where the copper(?) contacts were corroded. Cleaned them all up with some very fine abrasive pape...

Re: faulty horn... replacement?

Thanks all for your advice / comments, very much appreciated. As always I learn something new all the time. I must admit I checked on Ebay this morning for a T25 like-for-like replacement and although I didn't see any I noticed that motorcycle horns were very similar i.e. with the 2 x male spades so...

Temperature gauge needle and blinking light

Hi, I have a 1990, 2.1 DJ van. I had some wiring replaced in the engine bay a few months ago and whilst the van is running fine, a legacy of the work done is that a wire or two seems to have been wired up incorrectly (or maybe not!). I have changed the Coolant level Sensor and the Coolant Temperatur...

faulty horn... replacement?

Hi, my van is coming up for its MOT and I need to get the horn fixed. It hasn't worked for a while and I thought it would just be the fuse. Anyway replaced fuse, wasn't that. Searched forum and took steering cowling off to check connections etc, not that. Finally there was a mouse like squeak from u...
