Re: Temp gauge reading high with warning light
I picked my van up from VW Engine Company on Thursday. Brand new turnkey, fitted by them. Temp gauge also reading 3/4 at normal running but my light so far has only flashed on normal start-up. The temp gauge stays put unless I have the heater on when it drops to centre position. I also quer...

Re: Temp gauge reading high with warning light
First question would be to ask if he has fitted the correct senders or even connected them the correct way round. ECU sender connected to gauge loom plug. Gauge sender connected to ECU loom plug. Assuming the later engine set-up with 2 x senders. One for the gauge and one for the engine control uni...

Temp gauge reading high with warning light
Dear all, I have a 1990 2.1 Caravelle conversion which has just had a new engine fitted by the VW engine company. Various other bits replaced as well, including new sensors for engine temp etc. Since the new engine went in (and new accessories), the temp gauge has been reading higher than it did pre...

Re: Flickering oil pressure light
Thanks all. Yes the oil is same as usual and filter replaced like for like. Same garage does the device every year so they know the van.
Will get pressure checked again and replace sensors in case they are faulty.
Thank you for suggestions.

Flickering oil pressure light
Hi I have a 1990 petrol 2.1 injection engine. Recently took it to garage for service/MOT and asked them to look at cooling system as it generally seems to be running at a higher temp than it used to. Used to rarely go above half way, now often sits between half and 3/4 in traffic etc. They found cra...

Re: Oil pressure light flashing
ps yes Cheeky V I'm using 10/40 oil
Light never flashes when van is actually moving, only at stationary. So has never flashed over 2000rpm - which is when buzzer would also sound if I've understood correctly?
Thanks!

Re: Oil pressure light flashing
Thanks all! Will get pressure checked and go from there. Yes it is still under guarantee so I'll be able to get it checked out and any problems rectified once summer holidays are over but had been told by a mechanic that this is quite a common problem with T25s and not necessarily something to worry...

Hi there, I have a 1990 1.9 Watercooled with 6000 miles on reconditioned engine. Had engine flush and service before going on trip across Europe this summer. Runs really well but oil pressure light has been flashing fairly often during the trip. This happens when coming to a stop after a long run on...
