Re: Home made VW centre caps for Merc steels
Ok, tedious question time. To get these home brew centre caps to fit std steels, what is required in the way of spacers, nuts and bolts? Hate anyone to think I'm lazy, but....... Cheers, Mitch. Good question Mitch, Here's the issues I came across Front Wheel I previously had alloy wheels on my bus ...

Re: Tail Light, Front Side Light & Full Beam issues
After going through the wiring with a multimeter and checking all the contacts I've managed to fix the rear light issue. Suspected wiring connection fault at the switch.
Still have the headlight issue with full beam but at least I know they are not related.

Tail Light, Front Side Light & Full Beam issues
Hey Guys, Wondered if anyone can help with an issue i'm currently investigating which I'm not sure is related to each other or not. This is a 1982 Aircooled 2.0 LHD. Currently having issues with the rear light on the left hand side (right hand side works fine). All other lights on the cluster work o...

Re: Backfeed from Alternator after aef conversion
Thanks for the post Matt,
Also had the same issue with my GTi (AGG) conversion on my '82 Aircooled (CU) Bus.

Re: Air Cooled Radiator (Air Cooled to Water Cooled)
All fitted thanks to Pete @ East Midlands T25 for supplying me the top radiator bracket. Now attempting to fit the full length water pipes but finding it impossible to fit them over the original Aircooled fuel tank. Is it now a matter of changing the tank? I thought about use rubber hoses as they wo...

Re: Short Gear Box Syndrome
Yeah, figured it out. I was using the wrong gearbox mount. The original DK mount is shorter than the diesel so it wasn't reaching the gearbox. Ordered a diesel mount so hopefully it'll fit.

Short Gear Box Syndrome
Hey Guys, I have fitted a AGG 2.0 to to my bus and I'm using a 4 speed DK gearbox. However this is to short to fit on the engine directly. I have been advised that RJES does sell a kit for £50 but I've been able unable to get hold of him to order it. Does anyone know of anywhere where I can get hold...

Re: Air Cooled Radiator (Air Cooled to Water Cooled)
Hi J, I've done this conversion, the upper rad mount is spot welded in place so can be removed from a donor vehicle by drilling out the spot welds and either bolting or welding into your van. I would give Metalmickey a pm, I'd be surprised if he can't help. Shouldn't be too hard to fit then :? but ...

Air Cooled Radiator (Air Cooled to Water Cooled)
Can anyone tell me if the upper radiator mount on a watercooled T25 is a) has an official part number (I can't find it on Vagcat) and b) if they are welded on at the factory or can be easily taken off. Looking at my Air Cooled, I can see the slots where the mount would go but cannot find any informa...

Hydraulic Clutch Cable
I'm replacing my hydraulic clutch system on my '82 bus as there's some corrosion but instead of having to install, bend and flare the new pipes can I just use braided cable from the master to to the slave cylinder?
Has anyone done this before?
Thanks
J
