Re: Laptop power in van - Inverter or 12V?
Inverters only draw the current the attached device needs +what it needs to run. The the majority of cases the are around 90% efficent on full load. I have a constant 1000W and it draws 0.8 Amp before anything is plugged it. But have to side with those above, best to splash out on a decent 12V - Lap...

We usually leave our fridge on gas all night, cooker on, propex on, etc but thats only because i have checked and double checked ours loads. jed Im with Jed on this one, but ONLY ca...

Tis a tough one. I had exactly the same call to make beginging of the year. Price is about average, I found VW body shops wanted a bit more. I will post up some pic's soon. My van has been stripped bare, eight repair panels and two doors later it's still looking rough. IMHO van has to be mechanicaly...

Re: rear seat belts.
Hey Willoughby, in your pic2 on photobucket I see a fixing to the van floor, was that hole already there or did you drill it? Cheers. Hi My 'van' came from the factory with windows in the back, so all the fittings were there. I didn't need to drill any holes. :D If the fittings are easily welded in...

Re: 12v fridge to 240v
If the 12V is working, just get a 240V to 12V transformer.
You will only need a 10A one,
Then you can have the fridge on 12V via relay when Driving, On hook up when on site and Gas at shows or when no mains about.
And you don't have to touch the fridge.

Common myth, if all the bits are there and connected it will work fine. Hope you get it sorted.
