Hmmm, planning on lowering it by 55mm and from the trial fit of the wheels not sure if spacers are pos 'cause of the proximity of the arch ? Will probably have to lower then trial fit again in reality then take it from there. :idea: Surely you'd be better modifying the wheel arches than chopping bi...

At that point there is considerable twisting force, when the wheel is being braked the steering spindle tries to rotate as the ball joint is a joint it tries to twist the wishbone. Point taken, will have to set it all up properly to find out exactly how much "Jigery pokery" needs to be do...

Ok i've got a set of AMG copies that i want to fit to my "85" diesel pannel van. The rears are18x9 fitted with255/35 18's and an ET of 35 they fit sweet as a nut no where near suspension components and the slider misses too :) . The fronts on the other hand have a small problem, they are 1...

Have had issues with the induction pipe since it was converted, blowing of all the time (there is no inter cooler fitted at present just a straight pipe). Na don't have access to one. also during the conversion certain sensors were bypassed i think and it may therefore throw up a lot of codes. have seem vagcom leads on Fleabay for not a lot. am i right in assuming they come with a cd that you stick in a lap top hook it up and away you go or am i being...

Gearbox re-build
Looking for personal recommendations for someone to re-build my gear box with taller 3rd and 4th's . at present runnng stock 4 speed 2ltr air cooled box with 1z TDi and revs are a bit on the high side on motorway.
North west area so some one local ish would be good.
