I used two pry bars to separate the spindle from the linkage to send to you, it's just a moulded plastic insert the ball fits in but the linkage will bend easily at the end as it is just flat metal and not very thick, a small ball joint separating fork might work if you can get it in but I didn't h...

Still not sure what they’re called though. Haha.
I didn’t realise they were meant to be attached to the back of the grille.
I’ll have to see if they can be purchased separately to the grille.
