Hi my engine is ticking over high when the engine is warm about 1500 to 2000, if i blip the throttle it will sometimes drop back down to 950 any ideas guy? its a gti 8v k jet.

I bled the clutch last night and took it for a 25 mile drive and the problem seems to have dissapeared, aslong as the box got warm enough? Thanks for your help guys.

I can select all gears easily when cold but when the gearbox warms up it's very hard to get 4th and 5th. It has 75 90 oil and it's filled to the level.

Hi guys my k jet engined van starts and runs fine untill it warms up then it won't idle, if it's turned off it will start again but if it's left a few minutes it just turns over and won't start, if I let it cool down it will fire back up straight away? I would be great full for any help

I now can't start it when its warm I have to wait for it to cool down and then it will fire straight away, it's driving me mad

The turning over problem was just a fuse it now starts straight away, can anyone tell me if thermo sensor that controls the cold start should have a permanent live or just run when the starters cranking?

Yes I have changed the vac pipes, the aux air valve that's is bolted on the inlet is not connected at one end it has a small k&n style filter on it, should this connect into the air box?

Thanks for your help so far guys On tracing wiring I've found a switch wired to isv, this has detached it's self from somewhere I added a 12v supply to this and when turned on it makes the tickover rise as if the choke is working I am also having trouble starting the van, it turns over for ages befo...

The aux air valve that sits on top of the inlet manifold is only connected at that end, should the other end go in the air box? There is a hole that's been plugged up?

Hi guys it looks like my van has been wired up by An idiot, none of the sensors have a 12v supply? and the idle control valve is wired to a switch on the dashboard. Has anyone got a simplified wiring diagram or can give me any ideas I would be great full.

Thanks for your help guys and for uploading the pics for me, I've found a split in the vacuum pipe from the dizzy I'll replace this and report back as soon as I get time and yes the van runs perfect when warmed at around 900 rpm
