yeah box is on floor.
cluch is fine
drive shafts fine
only had new cv jounts 6 mts ago
they have opened up the box and have said its all smashed inside. what ever that means
new or replacement box will be needed
just there getting funny now because its taking up space.
pressures on.

gearbox diff! can it be repaired?
Hi My trusted 4 speed box has no drive. So its been towed to a garage where they have told me the diff has blown? Can this be repaired? Just i rang a bristol gearbox company and they said they couldn't help? Can any one advise me what to do apart from by a new one. Its a good box be a shame to scrap.

Well i checked water and oil before i set off so i know the exspansion tank was full and the top up tank was full to the max line this was with cold water. When i got to my destination it was pumping boiling water out the pressure hole vent on top up tank. Enough to leave a water trail thu camp site...

Help went on my first trip away the weekend.bristol to woolacombe. I use my van every day and have noticed sometimes the red light flashes on temp gage . Haha it was early . Thats my side of the story. :D so for a bit more power go for a 2.1 and upgade some of the cooling system.sounds good but more power more petrol. Still have o find a recon at a good price? Or i just wait for a good priced converted engine 25 to come on the maket and just swop ove...

Ok ill have a look. mines a 1.9 waterbox petrol at the mo. Is it worth putting a 2.1 in?keep it as a 1.9? Update... Well have had a look and they are alot dearer coming in at £2600 + could do a Subaru for that. Hmmmm what to do. What about elite vw. Any one delt with them.?

Hi i changed the voltage stabilizer (gsf) on the alternator and checked the 10v thingy on rear of dash. It was pumping out 9.35v. Only the two outer prongs are conected to dash didnt looklike the middle ones ever been conected. No havent changed the sender its next on the 2do list.

Ok gone thru wiki have checked 10a voltage 3 prong thing on rear of dash all seems ok.so back to the drawing board
