Re: Full time camping

I've recently insulated the whole van with foil bubble wrap type insulation and am about to order some more to make my own bellows thermal. Do a search on eBay for foil insulation or camper insulation. Made a hell of a difference doing all the panels so hopefully the bellows will make it even toasti...

Re: Isle of Wight Campsites?

It will be windy there not good for flimsy awnings. http://www.whitefieldforest.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is a cool site and is well sheltered form the wind as its set in a forest. We stayed there for a night before we went to Bestival and would recommend it. Cl...

Cab bunk measurements

Could somebody who has a cab bunk possibly take some measurement for me please? I've just tried to fit the one I've bought but I think the bars are to short, to reach both pillars they have to go right up by the top seat belt mount leaving hardly any room. The canvas also seems to short, I fitted th...

Isle of Wight Campsites?

Thinking of going to the Isle of Wight in the October half term, it's where the wife's from and she insists we go back as often as possible. Does anyone know of any decent sites they can recommend?

Re: Tail gate gas strut upgrade

If you look in the wiki there is a mod using a piece of copper pipe to lock the strut in place once the tailgate is open allowing you to keep the original struts.

Re: Camping nr Bath?

Ive just looked on line for the site we used to use in Bradford on Avon but can't find it and the wife is out all day shopping. If you google campsites in Bath or Bradford on Avon there are some nice looking sites and relatively cheap as well. There is a lot of woodland surrounding the Uni, ...

Re: Camping nr Bath?

Can't think of any sites off the top of my head but the A36 runs pretty much right past the uni and there are plenty of large lay-bys. There are a couple of nice small sites in Bradford on Avon a few miles up the road but can't think of the names, I will ask the wife when I see her later.

Re: Sliding window above cooker jammed

When ours was jammed it was the material in the runner all gathered up and blocking the runner, I would check that first and maybe give it a little squirt of wd40 or similar to help it slide.

Re: Weber carb jetting

ICTS work well.. its the central mounted webbers that are pants... all engines are a bit different.. best suggestion would be to get your self down to a rolling road and have someone set them up properly.. just bunging in new jets may or may not be the right direction.. of course, the engine needs ...

Weber carb jetting

I have twin weber 34 ict's fitted to my van which runs a 2.o cu engine, I know they don't have the best rep for these vans but I can't afford to replace them at the moment. Anyway it runs like a bag of the preverbial, back fires through the air filters and has bugger all power under load. Ive been t...
