Rebuild of 1.9 DG: Water Pump to Head Flange Leak
After another long weekend, my 1.9DG (1991) has been refitted to the van and is running once again! However, as with these things I have a water leak from pipe that runs from the water pump to No 1 & 2 water jacket (Water Pump to Head Flange). I did purchase a 'complete' engine gasket set, but t...

Re: 1.9 DG Oil Pressure Switch Removal
Finally removed the oil pressure switch tonight! :ok Purchased a 16" breaker bar, due to the space constraints and the requirement to apply some direct pressure on the 24mm socket. The switch contact had been bent back so the standard socket could be used. http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff...

Re: 1.9 DG Oil Pressure Switch Removal
The problem is usually between the sender and crankcase clearance ( the socket wall is too thick ) if you grind the outer diameter of the socket it should go on, the sender is unlikely to be very tight so there should not be a problem with the socket breaking. I have a spare socket for this very pr...

Re: 1.9 DG Oil Pressure Switch Removal
Hi Kev, it's the right length. I've even bent the contact on the switch, so I know there is enough internal clearance. There doesn't seem to be enough clearance to the engine mount.

1.9 DG Oil Pressure Switch Removal
Evening all, Our campervan sprung an oil leak before bank holiday weekend and after some investigation it was found to be the oil pressure switch under the water pump on the left-hand side of the crank case (1.9 DG). I have removed the water pump pulley to help access, but I'm having some issues rem...

Re: electrics
Most of the time it's pretty simple stuff, like checking the fuses and wires. I used a car bulb with crocodile clips and a long piece of wire to check the continuity from the battery to the panel and the appliances. This showed that I had a broken wire from that battery to the panel. Perhaps it migh...

It's kind of hope for the best in this situation! It'll be fine

Where to buy relay for camper electrics?
Just quick question, where is the best place to buy relays for camper electrics? I have a relay behind my Zig MC-2000 control panel, which allows the fridge to be used on 12v when the engine is running. Unfortunately I think it has died. I'm looking for an SPST-NO, 12VDC, 70A with four contacts (lar...

Wiring Diagram for Zig MC-2000?
Unfortunately I'm not having a lot of luck tracking down a wiring diagram for my 1991 Autosleeper Trooper. The wiring diagram in the wiki shows no relation to the wiring in my vehicle. So wondered if any other members were running a Zig MC-2000 unit? My Zig MC-2000 is supposed to control the hook-up...

Autosleeper Trooper Thermal Fuse/Trip Location?
We purchased our van back in May and are now preparing to head out for the summer. The previous owner said that they'd never used a leisure battery and always used the hook up. Not an issue I thought as I'll be able to find a battery and get it all working...hmm famous last words?! The issues are: 1...

Re: Autosleeper Trooper help
Hi Richard,
Did you ever find the manual you were looking for? I've recently purchased a 1991 Trooper and there was a printed out version (was a pdf but can't trace source) in all the documentation. I have just scanned this to PDF and is available if you are still looking.
Cheers,
Nathan
