Re: Power steering - EPAS

Ian, your comments are not taken personally  Not just a bloke driving it though... From the start of the thread all we wanted to know was the observations, opinions and functionality of the EPAS system. TBF a working syncro is going to be more demanding with steering as opposed to 2wd - consid...

Re: Power steering - EPAS

What is the experience like off road? With a non power steering set up, hit a rock and the steering potentially whips out of your hands. With standard power steering, hit a rock and it tries to whip away but the driver does have more control. That is in our experience though. So how does the epas sy...

Re: Power steering - EPAS

I've driven loads, to be honest I can see the attraction but I personally find them too light, like driving around on wet leaves on a cobbled street. Scary on corners as you have zero feedback and you can't tell if your sliding or not. Horses for courses. And then there's the insurance issue they w...

Re: Power steering - EPAS

Interesting posts, Thank you. Went on a quick breaker hunt this afternoon and results are all of the corsa 'B' power steering setups have gone, the 'C' are still available. Interesting, apparently the 'B' system are taken for kit cars. The 'C' system appears to be interesting to remove it though. Fu...

Power steering - EPAS

Looking at the Doka and the lack of power steering. Can't find a RHD rack (Hint Hint anybody) So we're considering other alternatives atm, one option is the Corsa 'C' set up. Read quite a bit about them over the weekend. I wonder if the set up will be man enough for the Syncro. What are your thought...

Re: Which roof rack?

This is our one, The Pajero one. Light weight goes on our pop top on the Westy roof brackets that sit in the gutter. Very strong can walk on it no problem. There's a sticker on saying it'll take 50kg. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t273/PC52/Blue%20syncro%20westy%20roof/DSCF6702.jpg http://i162....

Re: French VW Bus Meeting 2014 in Fley (71) / Burgundy / France

Not able to upload, external hard drive isn't reading. Not just a syncro event although we did go on a syncro spotting wander, turned into who can spot the most ugly roof. Interesting toileting set up! And must say cleanliness was next to godliness. First time we did solar shower courtesy of Rob's s...
