Re: Fridge replacement

Thanks , all very good and the mention of a fridge where the compressor is near the top is helpful and I have an array of gubbins at floor level which means a flat backed fridge would be 25 mm protruding at the front unless i go to a lot of trouble to move pipework. The 25 mm protrusion is'nt an issu...

Re: Fridge replacement

Thanks Colin , no I am afraid the fridge is a hazard , it was spraying a yellow egg yoke substance all over the fridge, it was well past its best, took the safest route and removed as am using it this weekend, but thanks for the info. Just a thought, whilst everything is out and laid bare, it is an ...

Fridge replacement

Hi , my T25 fridge has packed in and I have removed it, so I am embarking upon a research period, trying to ascertain the best way/product to buy, Just Kampers have a range of 12 v fridges that are described as only using 0.7 amp per hour, (JKR 50)has anyone any experience of these or for that matte...

Re: Crisis may be looming?

Well, bad news! The trusty mechanic tells me that my van is not on a good way. It has deterioration on the head gasket will water leaks from various areas, he also tells me that the metal front to back pipes are leaking and need replacing! Best option seems a new engine , new pipes, and likely new e...

Re: Crisis may be looming?

Had some mixed views from friends on the garage costs likely for water jacket gasket replacement ,(so still unclear), also whilst the work is in progress in the future, is it worth any other work , someone advised changing from a carburetta to fuel injection and electronic ignition,is this possible ...

Re: Crisis may be looming?

Just has a good look whilst its dry outside, there seems to be a leak occurring when the vans running on the right had side as you look down into the engine bay,it looks like its possible that the water casing gasket has failed, as well as a hose leak further along from the engine. My guess is that ...

Crisis may be looming?

Had a bad experience, my normally trustworthy high top (1985 1.9 petrol automatic), has sprung a very bad water leak. I originally thought is was the jubilee clip level with the rear wheel-ish that had worked loose on the rubber pipework that moved the coolant from front to back, however, its furthe...
