Hidont know if it will help but ive had two of these and a mk 1 golf with the same prob,i tried everything and on all three it was the hall sender in distributer, as they get to engine temp they the contact is lost and you loose spark.

ok thanks guys im going to have to drop the tank again the weekend and have a go at resetting the linkage by the pinch bolt on the centre of the linkage.

HI, can someone help, i cant get 2nd or 4th gear on my van it`s got a 4 speed box, it go`s into 1st 3rd and reverse fine but feels as if it`s jamming against something? i`ve just replaced the water pipes under the van and think i may of desterbed something but can`t see anything obvious any ideas?
