TCI unit is the ignition module , VW Heritage call it Right got spark to plugs now, a wire had been pulled up in cable sleeve and didnt see it. Doh! Hi, yeah i have tested and didnt get anything at the coil, Theres 12v at the plastic box next to the TCI unit where the alternator connects to the starter motor wire and it is a new battery too as the old one didnt want to charge

Hi, in the last couple of weeks i have fitted a recon engine, engine seems fine. We double checked tappets, the dizzy is in correct, the rotor arm points where it should on turning over the engine. Have had another go at starting van and still nothing. Been through most things checking all wires are tight and not corroded. The starter motor is turning over but nothing else. checked for a spark on plug but nothing and no spark at end of coil lead either ???

Before engine change, it would start fine. The dizzy drive was incorrect and we hav put that right. Timing sounds like a good place to start, im off to DubsAtTheCastle this weekend, which the bus was meant to be coming too. Petrol
Recon block most parts renewed, and have renewed all temp sensors, thermostat etc
Carb was sorted out 6mths ago refurb, for my old engine.
Same dizzy, leads, rotor arm, coil etc
