So will ordinary car radiator hose not do if you can get the correct length and diameter?

I've used this and similar several times to repair small holes in an exhaust. On me van I've only used it to repair a small section that is like a heat shield for the air intake and its been fine. Front brake flexi pipe MOT problem
Well heres a one! Last MOT my van failed on 3 flexi brake pipes, a front one and both rear. I bought a complete set from BW, and it passed the MOT Today, it failed MOT on a couple of bits, AND the tester reckons the front flexi pipes are too long and will catch/rub. But they are they correct pipes, ...

Give it a good tap with a hammer, I put an old socket over it so as not to damage the speedo cable end or circlip. If it still comes off, try "adjusting" the shape of the cover a bit (large hammer), make it a tiny bit oval, then tap it on

about an hour, had to take the thermostat housing off as theres not enough room to squeeze the new pipe in, then low and behold, snapped the outlet pipe on the dalek cap when I went to top the header tank up!
Only replaced it about 4 months ago, bugger, another £15!!

Mines on the sloping bit, offset towards the sliding door a bit, and the exhaust protrudes nicely just infront of the jacking point, with the intake pointing in the opposite direction. Hot air duct is out of centre of the front panel of the R&R bed/seat.
