Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Colder conditions seem to be less of an issue with some members painting as late as November. Conditions right now (if painting outside) are perfect except for the very real problem of bugs - tweezers a must :rofl . Rustoleum can be painted on metal wood or glass fibre. Some plastics MAY need a pri...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Neil - Looking good, it's surprising how good the first coat is.
Cov - Yep! Easier than I thought - in fact just like the DVD!
(More area than the T25 though!
)
Already had the neighbours cooing about the transformation.
I keep saying "It's just the first coat!"

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
First coat on today! Managed to dodge the rain - wondered what would happen if it did, glad I missed it!! :D :D Very happy! I'm doing the top half in white and below the sliding door rail in purple (suggestion by my better 'alf :roll: she said blue was boring..). Anyway went on better than I thought...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
For anyone who's interested I found these to be pretty cheap for sanding sheets (I'm using a detail sander - don't bother trying a belt sander!
)

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Yep the 10% will help.
It does about 30 to the gallon - more than the old T25!
Insurance wasn't too bad - can't remember exactly but I think £300 ish (maybe £400).

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Many thanks to all of the contributors to this thread! Have read all of it! Just ordered the DVD - I'm from "the other side" :shock: and I haven't got a VW! Have had a couple in the past though, the beloved T25 left us just over a year ago to be replaced by the self-build merc. Just dealin...
