Hi, I have a 1.6TD that I have been told is knackered and needs replaced. Heres a brief rundown of what happened: Broke down in France, lots of grey/black smoke out the back. Garage in France diagnosed the head gasket had gone, garage back home in Holland diagnosed the same but on further inspection...

12v hook up not working

Hi, Right now im in the Pyrenees, up to this point our 12v hook up [and everything else] has been working perfectly, now the hook up is not working Ive checked all the fuses i can find, front under steering wheel and rear next to water pump, and all are in tact, cant figure out what it is, any ideas...

Thanks for all of the replies. After closer inspection with the guy I bought it from it seems the battery wasn't sitting correctly and also the cables and attached metal ring weren't connected to the terminal properly and was sitting higher than it should. I think a cover is a good idea, thanks for ...
