Right I see now, so to fit the 5 speed linkage i need a 5 speed gear stick and selecter box or i use the 4 speed linkage, so wheres reverse when its a 5 speed? So you saying you did nt change the 4 speed linkage at all? just does nt feel like theres enough travel when i compare them where they conne...

Sorry with you now, yer I have the front mount, thats fitted. Yer its a 89 watercooled it was a 1.7d. So why is the floor different on the 1.6td?

HIya thanks for your info, what do you mean by the mount? as in gear box mount? oh so i cant fit the td one then? why wont the 4 speed work? sorry for all the questions.

Hiya, Ive fitted a 3h box to my 1y engine, I have the full 5 speed linkage from the 1.6td, do I have to fit the full linkage front to back? or can i just fit the rear part of the linkage? Do the 1.6td have a different floor? as the gearstick is much shorter on the 5 speed linkage but the linkage cag...
