Just going off the figures folks have chipped in, Steve. Reading this thread, 17-18 mpg is average.

I think so. JK indicate that this is the case here where they have a late tank and filler sold as suitable for early vehicles. It is JK though..

Oversize Pistons for DG Engine
I was browsing through a Volksworld mag and noticed somewhere selling 'recon' watercooled engines with oversize cyls & pistons, giving a displacement of around 2 litres. Now are they (or me!) getting their air and water mixed up? If not, where can I get a set? Are they any good or are they dodgy...

Hello all. As anyone with a canvas sided pop top will vouch, it's a bit on the cold side up there for 2 to 3 seasons a year.
