problems fitting a westy towbar

Hi, am just in the process of fitting a westy towbar to my 1987 Autohomes Kamper. It should be a simple job but looks as though the bumper will need to have a bit cut out to allow it to fit, is this correct? It is a standard metal bumper. Also where is the best place to connect the wiring? Hope some...

I had...

After a chat with mike from gas strut engineering, have fitted 2 gas struts with 400 newton each and works fine, maybe a bit of a tug to lower but as all struts leak gas over time I figured they would last longer!
