Thanks to 16v minis pics of caravanstore on westy pop top I decided to make these brackets up x2. They will clamp on in front of and behind the gutter on the pop top and I'll fix a 2mtr 25mm sq box section between the two with a C section awning rail to mount the caravanstore bag onto- what a pain. Mind you, better than having an F45 which where I live would last a week.

Trial fitting on the van. Am thinking about fitting an 8mm stainless rivnut onto top of B post to locate the lower bit, may not be needed but I think it needs some location and don't want to weld it on as must be remove able and not too easy to take off.

Have made up, welded and painted the bars, inserted an m8 stainless to nut into top of B post as locating fixing and capped ends of 25mm box tubing with some wax inside for good measure. An F45 would seem much easier but I just know it would diss spear overnight. Thinking of buying those domed head, Tx security bolts for the fixings in stainless- anybody know if they offer any real 'security' ?

Stainless rivnut for b and c post mountings. Will glue inner tube rubber to back of brackets to protect and offer flex.

Final fitting up, not sure quite what angle it needs to be at to hold awning close enough to van but will experiment. Will only know really from first trip in May...
