sump plug size

I have had a drip from my sump plug for ages and cant get it to stop. I decided to remove and inspect it today and it looked OK.
why it was out I measured it with a vernier caliper and it turns out it's a 15mm thread. :?
Everything I can see has either a 14mm or 16mm thread and I can't find any washers with 15mm except for a pack of Nissan ones which they want £12 for.
Any ideas?
many thanks Rob.

Rob the standard thread is M14 x (can't remember exactly but it's NOT the standard pitch) definately 14mm od though. Tap it out to standard M16 pitch and use a socket head screw this will JUST fit inside the rebate. (we are on a wbxer aren't we ? )

Ian.

This one isn't Ian, I have a bag of new VW ones here and they don't fit my sump.
