strange fishy smell from heater ?

hi noticed today on the drive home a strange sort of rubbery /fishy smell from the heater outlet . there is nothing trapped anywhere down the vents was wondering if anyone else has had this in the past and where i might look to fix the problem ?
not been out shopping either and stored anything in the fridge . the bus is a 1.9td atlantic .

It's a well known trick to play on someone you don't like - stick a bit of pot bait in the air intake or allow it to liquefy then pour the juice in - you haven't upset any fishermen have you? I have a dozen horse mackerel in a bucket getting ready for someone at the moment....shhhhh... :mrgreen:

I have done this a few times :lol: Air vents full of talc and put the blower on 3 is a good one too...

I experienced the same sort of smell [rubbery/dusty]prior to the heater packing up in a puff of smoke.

well Im sorry but I think your Atlantic is doomed , would you pm me to discuss the the price your happy to take for it and you wont then need to worry about it will be my problem

A fishy smell is what accompanies an electric motor burning out or indeed having burnt out. Stinks to high heaven.
