Just bought a 1980s Zemco
Anybody fitted a fuel computer to there van? I know there'll be issues with the fuel return as its on the carb ( not sure how I'll get around this yet).
Apart from wanting to see what variation I get at different speeds/gears, thought it would look the part in me van too

No, never seen one of those Dan. How does it measure fuel flow? Through a fuel meter of some sort, with return flow through it as well?

Its a fuel flowmeter that goes between the pump and the carb, was designed for no fuel return, or return at the pump. Theres some sort of mod that puts a tee piece after the pump for the return fuel, and blocking the outlet from the carb, but i havent figured if it needs some sort of pressure relief valve inline yet.
Its very 80's, with a blue fluor display rather than leds, magnets attach to a drive shaft with a little coil sensor positioned 1/2inch above to measure vehicle speed. Some 80s Volvos had them fitted as standard, and it was also sold as a rebadged Unipart.

Interesting Dan, as I posted recently about fuel computers due to having access to an old Cavalier GSi2000 one, and was pondering retro fitting it. Check out my thread below, maybe some info in there of help?

I used to have one of those on a Bedford CF customised "passion wagon", you know, silvered windows, alloys, lined with carpet, and lots of big cushions and big stereo, I think they call them "surf vans" these days

That van could have told some tales
I used to have fun either finding out just how much fuel I could use, like flooring it in 3rd up a hill (~10 MPG) or how little I could use, feathering the throttle on the flat.
Fitting was not a big problem I recall, the adapter for the speedo cable being the tricky bit on my installation.
A natty toy

I have a calculator. It's the far right pedal. If I press it too much MPG goes down
