Newbie, so sorry for not finding the answer in any previous threads. Became the proud owner of a Transporter converted to camper with Viking roof on 24 March. It has been converted from 1.7 to a 1.9 diesel lump. Think this is a Passat diesel. Found the part number - 028103373J. Can't find engine number for insurance modified vehicle report. Not much history with purchase. Any help (with pics!) as to where engine number is hidden would be appreciated. Also, how do I decipher the mark on the other end of the block from the part number? (numbers in a circular arrangement...)

Looks like the insurers will be happy with the part numbers and description of the engine.
