No ignition light

Hi has anyone experienced a problem with there battery light not comming on. I have replaced the L E D light checked the blue wire from the alternator and replaced the x contact relay all with no success I have even replaced the whole set of clocks thinking it might be the printed circuit board at the back still no joy it's driving me mad ahhhh please help cheers Chris

did you put the LED in the right way round, they only work wired one way

Yes mate L E D was put in the right way round and also had it checked to make sure it works by a mate just spent the afternoon battering my head looking at the wirring diagrams in the back of the trusty Haynes but it looks more like the wirring diagram for the space shuttle how does anyone read those things? Cheers anyway mate will carry on looking for loose or broken wires as it says in the book

The principles apply the same as they did on earlier vans so if it helps you understand layout, refer to these:
