Hi All
Just getting my old CU 2.0 engined air cool running. But I seem to be some wiring loom missing?? Cant see any wire to go to the oil pressure switch? I must have disconnected it when removing the old engine but cant find it or any see any point in the loom where THE wire would come out of? Anyone got a picture or can explain where the oil pressure switch wire joins the loom?
Thanks

follow the wires from the loom,
some early ones did not have plugs for the engine loom.
the loom comes from the rear wheel arch ?
some times into the black box to the engine.
should be cable tied to the ignition loom wires

Thanks. At least I know where it should come from. I couldn't see it anywhere or where I'd plug this spare piece of wire i have into. My mate said to me of course its there, I'll show you. Ten minutes later he said Errr

Well I think I found it! It was connected to the coil! That seems to come from where you said it did and the short wire I had fits into it and it then reaches to the switch. So I'm guessing its right? It looks like being blue and black in colour. Does that sound right?

sounds right
but does it make the oil light work?
try earthing it out , use a tester to make sure it isant live first tho as it could save your dash or van

That was the missing loom. Oil light now goes off when the engine is started.
