Hi all, I got a panicked phone call from the missus telling me that there was a pink puddle under the front of the van after she used it for work!!
I ran it to temp this morning and noticed coolant dripping from the nearside bottom rad mounting, which I removed and the very bottom corner of the rad was wet, meaning it's the rad itself that's leaking!!
It's a tiny leak and I was wondering if stop leak additives are ok for this complicated cooling system or if I'd be better off getting a new rad or having mine rebuilt (there's a very good rad builder local to me who I've used before)?!
Any help greatly appreciated as always!!

Cannot recommend coolant sealers at all on these set ups.

The only one that is OK is K-Seal (it works differently than most) but for emergencies only.

Check the cost of a repair by your local guy or by a top quality replacement (like I did) from here = http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/shop?page=s ... ory_id=118" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks for the reply buddy, I thought stop leak might be a no go!! I'll have to whip the rad off and see what the dealio is...would happen a week after I drained, flushed and replaced the outrageously expensive coolant!!

Seriously, that will be why it happened.

Not sure of the chemistry, but new antifreeze / inhibitor always seems to find any weak spots.

Exactly the same happened to ours last September ! We got a new Rad from Brickwerks. Note you need a strongish mate to hold it in place whilst you get the bolts in the brackets at the bottom.
