Hi,

I have a 1986 RHD petrol 1.9DG T25. The connectors on the PCB are really worn and keep causing intermittent problems.

I'm trying to source a good quality replacement but don't know where to start. Is there a particular part number I should be looking out for to ensure I get the correct one? (Mine doesn't have a rev counter but has a clock and the oil sensor - buzzer of doom thing).

Is it best just to wait till one comes up on ebay or have people found better sources for PCBs? I don't mind spending a bit of money if the quality can somehow be assured.

There are two standard types for petrol vans I think

An early one where the long plug socet is vertical and a later one where the plug socket it horizontal

I believe its horizontal. Don't want to take it out to check as every time it goes back in something else stops working

If it's a horizontal connector and it's below the temp fuel gauge part of the dash then it's a late pcb

Post a wanted ad specify your fuel type, age of vehicle and non-rev counter version

have a look up from underneath with a torch , easy to see.

early / late.

if late - horizontal plug you need to jknow if you have a mechanical clock or not - rev counter or not (probably not)

early late ones so early horizontal did not have oul buzzer warning , some had the ribbon ready but not connected

this is when the ribbon goes over to the speedo side

some even tho it goes to the speedo side does not have connections fitted

take the cover of and look from the front of the van , through windscreen to see this.

It has the mechanical clock and oil buzzer. No rev counter. Is this enough to identify it? If not I'll have a look at it as advised.
